Joseph Francis Armstrong

Slidell, LA - Joseph Francis Armstrong, 82, originally from Savannah, Ga., entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2006 at his home in Slidell, La., surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Joseph Patrick Armstrong and Stella Kearney Armstrong, both of Savannah, Ga.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia Elise Christoph Armstrong, father of Kathleen Armstrong, Laura Beicher, Barbara Illg, Amy Robinson, Joseph Patrick Armstrong and Mary Rowe, father-in-law of Joseph B. Illg, John W. Beicher, David E. Robinson and Jeffrey S. Rowe. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kelly Esteve Thompson, Jodie L. Esteve, Ryan G. Saunders, Mitchell L. Saunders and Kathleen E. Illg.
He was retired from Strachan Shipping Company. He was a kind and loving man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a graveside service at Catholic Cemetery, 1720 Wheaton St., Savannah, GA on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 1:00 P.M.
